The Secure Systems and Trusted Computing (SST) Group at UBITECH is a cutting-edge, multidisciplinary research team dedicated to securing next-generation digital ecosystems. We develop advanced, privacy-aware, and trustworthy solutions in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, identity management, and critical infrastructure protection—bridging theory and practice across diverse verticals including healthcare, energy, mobility, telecom, and manufacturing. As a research and technical partner in the LICORICE project, UBITECH will play an important role in defining the technical framework for secure and privacy-preserving solutions.
Role in LICORICE
UBITECH will play a key role in enhancing the security, privacy, and trustworthiness of the LICORICE Wallet through a range of advanced technological contributions. It will define the necessary rules and requirements for developing cryptographic primitives, leveraging hardware-based trust extensions to ensure secure data-sharing across both local and remote applications of the Digital Identity Wallet. UBITECH will also contribute to the implementation of a decentralized identity solution based on Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) principles, ensuring compatibility with existing federated identity systems while supporting scalable, privacy-respecting identity management. To further strengthen privacy, the company will integrate cutting-edge techniques such as selective disclosure, unlinkability, privacy-preserving Attribute-Based Credentials (p-ABC), and zero-knowledge proofs. Finally, UBITECH will develop secure biometric authentication mechanisms that prioritize user privacy, ensuring strong protection without exposing sensitive data during the verification process.
